Fresh Off the Press: The Winter 2026 Edition of Lutheran Scouting!

The latest edition of the Lutheran Scouting newsletter is officially live on the NLAS website! This issue is packed with opportunities to grow in faith, serve the scouting community, and secure funding for future education.

Highlights from this Issue:

  • 2026 National Jamboree Staffing: We are looking for four to six youth (ages 16–20) to join our NLAS booth staff this July. This is a fantastic way to experience the Jamboree at a reduced cost, with scholarships available to cover half of the youth staff fee!

  • Scout Sunday (February 8th): It’s time to celebrate! Whether you’re planning a full service or a simple bulletin mention, we have resources to help your unit recognize its duty to God. Don’t forget to share your photos with us on Facebook.

  • Religious Relationships Week (Feb 22–27): Join us for a series of Zoom sessions, including a dedicated Religious Emblems Promotion Night on February 26th. It’s the perfect chance for Scouts and parents to learn how to begin their journey toward earning a religious emblem.

  • NLAS Four Star Scholarship: High school seniors who have earned all four P.R.A.Y. awards are encouraged to apply for one of two $500 scholarships. Applications are open now through May 1st.

  • Leadership Opportunities: Interested in shaping the future of Lutheran Scouting? The Nominating Committee is seeking candidates for the NLAS Executive Board.

In her “President’s Perspective,” Kristin Rogahn reminds us to tackle our New Year’s goals “one bite at a time.” We hope this newsletter provides the small steps you need to invigorate your unit this season.
