We are excited to share the Spring 2026 edition of our newsletter, filled with inspiring stories of faith in action and important updates for our Scouting community. Whether you are a youth member, a parent, or a leader, there are many ways to get involved this season.
Inside This Issue:
- National Jamboree Staffing Opportunities: The NLAS is looking for four to six more youth staff members (ages 16–21) to serve at our booth in the “Duty to God and Country” area at the 2026 National Jamboree. The NLAS board will even reimburse half of the staff fee for those who participate!
- Scouts Read Sacred Texts: Join a worldwide celebration of faith on May 7th, 2026, by reading your faith’s sacred texts, such as the Bible or the writings of Martin Luther.
- Liberty in Action Challenge: Get ready for America’s 250th anniversary! Scouts can dive into creative challenges and service projects to earn a special commemorative patch.
- Celebrating Scout Sunday: Read heartwarming highlights from across the country, including recognition of our recent Lamb Award and Servant of Youth Award recipients.
- NLAS Board Elections: Check out the bios for our national office nominees. Members, keep an eye on your email for your ballot link, which will be sent out in May 2026.
Important Reminders:
- Membership Renewals: It’s time to renew! Starting this year, we are moving to a convenient online renewal process through our partner, P.R.A.Y.
- Summer Issue Deadline: Have a story or photo to share? The deadline for our summer issue has been moved to August 1, 2026.
